  1. KRXA END-OF-SUMMER BBQ PICNIC UPDATE. Everybody welcome, families with kids too. Thursday, August 30, 4 to 7pm (or later) on the Monterey (west) side of Laguna Grande Park. Plates, cups, utensils, condiments, etc provided. Bring something to grill and drink, and a potluck salad, snack, dessert, etc to share. SPECIAL ENTERTAINMENT: Music by Art and Delaina (of Psychos in Love fame). Bring some folding chairs IF you have them. Last BBQ was a blast. DON’T MISS THIS ONE!

  2. Good News Re: KRXA BBQ PICNIC THURSDAY: Thanks to Grove Market gift certificates from Hal, Fred and I will be bringing hot dogs, Fred’s special corn on the cob, sodas, picnic supplies and more. All you need to bring is a potluck item to share (salad, dessert, side dish, whatever). Folding chairs would be helpful, too. Live music by Psychos in Love rockers Dirk Dastardly and Delaina (of KRXA Morning Show theme song fame). Set aside your petty feuds, grievances and election doldrums to join us for an afternoon of fun and frivolity. Optional: nude swim in Laguna Grande lake (GOP congressmen can pretend it’s the Sea of Galilee).
That’s this Thursday, 4 to 7pm on the Monterey (west) side of Laguna Grande Park, accessed from Del Monte Blvd (Virgin St) or from Fremont St (Casanova). Everyone welcome. Don’t miss it!
