    Hilarious. Glenn hints at w
age increases because of a labor shortage caused by deportation of illegal immigrants. This wage increase will drive up consumer prices and that’s a bad thing. But on the other hand, an increase in the minimum wage will not increase consumer prices and in fact, will improve the economy. You’ve got to love the situational logic displayed by leftists.

Thanks Jeff for your graciousness – as always. Thing is we don’t really know what the effects of taking millions out of the economy will be. There likely will be some paradoxical impacts seen. As you heard and saw, I’m generally with you on this. Reducing the pool of low-wage workers should lead to wage increases which could lead to higher prices. On the other hand, consumption of/demand for goods will also drop which could lead to a reduction in hiring and price drops.

Again Hal, you think to locally. Lets say I have $100 to spend. I choose to spend $5 paying someone for a service. So I now have only $95 to spend but the service provider how has $5 to spend. That’s still $100 out there to be spent. The economy doesn’t care who spends the money, as long as its in circulation.
