T may end up extremely sorry that his atty cheaped out at $130k & that Stormy didn’t get placed on his TV show as promised. (Sunday, Apr 1. 2018 08:03 AM)Thanks Shade – I fear though the phone is shot. Sprint said they could not repair it. It’s possible I could get a 3rd party to try but I can replace the phone for $145 with the identical model refurbished. Repairing it, even if possible, would cost more.Shade
(Sunday, Apr 1. 2018 12:05 AM)The trick to the phone drying service is the vacuum applied to the container holding the phone. Apply a deep enough vacuum & water will boil off at room temp – and I’ll bet they apply moderate heat too to help things along. This principle is used to remove moisture from the internal plumbing of refrigeration systems, as moisture will cause internal corrosion & will also freeze & cause refrigerant blockages.Maybe skip the rice, per this chart. But a warm lamp near the phone & good airflow from a fan might be better than just doing nothing but waiting.
