The Morning Show November 16 – 20

halWhat an awful weekend.  Coordinated terrorist attacks by ISIS in Paris left 129 or more dead and over 350 wounded Saturday night.  The day before, ISIS killed 41 people in two bombings in Beirut.  Obviously, everything else pales in comparison to these horrors but the roiling events at various colleges and universities around the country are terribly dispiriting.
I’ll be live all week to discuss these events and much more including protests Monday-Wednesday in DC against the TPP>

We have a great cast of regulars this week. Talk to me onair by calling 1 (844) FOR-HALG/1 (844) 367-4254 9-noon east coast/6-9 Pacific.

In every weekly newsletter, I urge recipients to forward it.  Let me here re-emphasize the importance of spreading the word.  Without a terrestrial radio signal, I am wholly dependent on people making an extra effort to find us on their computer or via their smart device.  So, forward this newsletter to any friend, relative, acquaintance, casual contact, frenemy, enemy, or nemesis, whom you think would enjoy learning about the Morning Show.

There are a number of ways to listen between 6-9am Pacific/9-noon east coast: at RadioMonterey on your Tunein app, at www.halginsberg.com and at uberstations.com and of course at Radio Monterey.

You can connect with other progressive talk fans on facebook at The Hal Ginsberg Morning Show on Facebook.  You can also find me on twitter at @HalGinsberg.

If you miss an interview, you’ll probably find it in the archives of halginsberg.com.

    Clinton’s Email Evasions
The FBI has plenty to investigate if it wants to get serious.Aug. 6, 2015 7:12 p.m. EThttp://www.wsj.com/articles/clintons-email-evasions-1438902775The Espionage Act, which is part of the U.S. criminal code, makes it a crime for any government employee, through “gross negligence,” to allow national defense information “to be removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of his trust, or to be lost, stolen, abstracted or destroyed.” Mrs. Clinton’s email on a private server was not in its proper place of custody and was at plenty of risk of being lost or stolen. We also know she edited some of the email that went to State, which means pieces of it have been destroyed. Plenty of government officials have been prosecuted for less.

Clinton’s ‘Please Hack Me’ Serverhttp://www.wsj.com/articles/clintons-please-hack-me-server-1445211001 The Espionage Act makes “gross negligence” in handling national-defense information a crime, but whether the Obama Justice Department would accept an FBI recommendation to prosecute the leading Democratic presidential candidate is an open question.(Can no longer access free, but described how terrible Clinton’s server was configured.)

Clinton’s personal email server was vulnerable to hackersOctober 13, 2015 at 10:17 AM ESThttp://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/clintons-personal-email-server-vulnerable-hackers/ Also in 2012, the State Department had outlawed use of remote-access software for its technology officials to maintain unclassified servers without a waiver. It had banned all instances of remotely connecting to classified servers or servers located overseas. The findings suggest Clinton’s server “violates the most basic network-perimeter security tenets: Don’t expose insecure services to the Internet,” said Justin Harvey, the chief security officer for Fidelis Cybersecurity.

Hillary Clinton’s Felony. The federal laws violated by the private serverOctober 13, 2015 at 10:17 AM ESThttp://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/28/1416309/-Hillary-Clinton-s-Felony-The-federal-laws-violated-by-the-private-serverHillary Rodham Clinton has committed a felony. That is apparent from the facts and in the plain-language of the federal statute that prohibits “Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information”, 18 U.S. Code § 793(e) and (f). This offense carries a potential penalty of ten years imprisonment. It’s up to prosecutorial discretion by the US Attorney as to what charges may be filed and when. Nonetheless, Mrs. Clinton is clearly chargeable for violation of federal law. As of right now, the matter is under FBI investigation. This isn’t just about violation of Departmental policy.

FBI steps up interviews in Clinton email probe 11/10/15 05:14 AM ESThttp://www.politico.com/story/2015/11/hillary-clinton-email-fbi-probe-215630 “This sounds to me like it’s more than a preliminary inquiry; it sounds like a full-blown investigation,” said Tom Fuentes, former assistant director of the FBI. “When you have this amount of resources going into it …. I think it’s at the investigative level.”

Comey Can Nail Hillary – But Will He? This article in combination with the ones linked above pretty much tell the story as I believe it to be true. Yes, I know I’m now citing a biased source, but it is at your peril that you ignore the child & the shouting of a few of us devoted Progressives trying to inform you that the Empress may soon wear no pantsuits, only orange jumpsuits! If you don’t like this source, please read the stories I posted links to above that substantiate the underlying facts presented from more pro-Progressive sources. Don’t say you weren’t warned! Timing now is everything in regards to the ultimate outcome, but regardless I think HRC should be considered as damaged goods. Somebody in our party now needs to take the gloves off HRC like John Kasich recently has with “The Donald” here: http://www.people.com/article/donald-trump-nazis-campaign-ad-john-kasich
