  1. Dave says:

The luckiest bet I ever won was a 10-1 shot in 79.
Pirates were down 3 games to 1 . This friend at a bar was bragging how invincible Baltimore was and I just couldn’t take it. I won 100 bucks. It felt like a million.
Man, that was cool… The lesson is never say never

  2. Dave says:

    Acronyms or what.?. Is–Isis—– Ra——El
All ancient deity ,,, makes you wonder

  3. Dave says:

Exodus states that Moses was the adopted son of the pharaoh. This put him at the head of the spiritual food chain.. To ignore this fact and down play the influence of what Moses was taught clouds the reality of what really happen.

  4. Dave says:

Marijuana stores are a big rip off,,, the best system is a farmers market. Growers can make a little more and customers can pay a little less. Paying 60$ for a 1/4 ounce of pot is like paying 10$ for a apple. Los Angles just started a market,, I’m sure it will be a huge success.

  5. Dave says:

Why not change the name to Washington Indians?
There is already a Cleveland Indians baseball team. Baseball and football teams can have the same name, NY and SF Giants. Animal names seem a better choice.. What about Minnesota Vikings? Vikings were as white as a sheet , most Minnesota Vikings players aren’t even white. I don’t think a team should be named after a particular race, or sex.. Move over Atlanta Braves. What would the outcry be if Atlanta Brave cheerleaders were called the Atlanta Squaws?

  6. Dave says:

The most ridiculous sports name is the los angles lakers..
Founded in Minnesota and named after the 10,000 lakes of Minnesota. They moved to LA but kept the name.

  7. Dav says:

What was I thinking,, baseball doesn’t have cheerleaders. That’s a subject for another day, I guess there is no room for them. Too bad. Im sure it would sell. Anyway the kansas city chiefs and their cheerleaders, the squaws.

  8. Dave says:

Here’s an idea. Have the citizens that live on Indian reservations of legal age vote on the redskin name change. Pay the Indians.. Everyone loves motivation. They could elect local committees to come up with some ideas, put the most popular on a ballot and hold an election.. The redskin owner could go from asshole to hero in 2 seconds flat.

  9. Dave says:

Besides the good relations the nfl can gain from the Indians, it also benefits the Indians. Monetarily and psychologically . It gives them a sense of power and boast their ego knowing they are the ones that named the nfl team from the nations capital.

  10. Dave says:

I just found out the redskins are the third most valuable team in the league. It’s sad when such a successful organization gets tripped up over what to call the team.
The owner has the power to turn a negative into a positive. Let’s hope he does the right thing and stops harming himself.

  11. Dave says:

In the news; An investigation by The Baltimore Sun found that the city has paid money in more than 100 jury decisions or settlements for excessive force, police brutality, and misconduct claims since 2011. Hal,,, sounds like you moved to the Wild West.

  12. Dave says:

It’s hard to understand people sometimes.. The Baltimore police should be reminded that payment for the actions of a few bad apples is money out of their pocket. If I were a Baltimore policeman and I knew who caused the loss of money for some stupid, illegal action they took my pay raise. I’d want to sue them to.

  13. Dave says:

Nationals get lucky,,, their still looking up a steep hill.. Giants are the better team. And, what could motivate the Giants more? This will be vindication with a capital V

  14. Dave says:

Poor Hal, Parent of a child that wants to be a solider.
That’s a tough one. I was so lucky when I took my daughter, 16, to a window on the bay Iraq protest..
When there, these 2 ex military gals, about 25 told her how dangerous it was, not from any enemy but from their own superiors and how helpless they were.
My daughters eyes got big and said — I’m not doing that

  15. Dave says:

I think the solider thing is a childhood whim… Some people never out grow it. It’s based on identifying with the glory ,comradely , the perceived bravery of not being intimidated. In short their personal honor.. These kids fall for the noble cause rap. I think it mostly comes from Stallone type hero worship. Too much tv..
The saddest reality about the military is most of the kids that join do so out of economic necessity. For many it is their best option to a more fruitful life.

  16. Dave says:

Leon is a tricky little devil.. I still can’t find his net worth.
I would bet the whole Obama thing is promoted just to sell some books. He’s a very petty I ndvdual

  17. Dave says:

“At the end of the meeting, the prime minister requested that a new bill be prepared that would express the government of Israel’s determination to continue to act against infiltrators,” a statement from Netanyahu’s office said.— from yahoo… In Netanyahu world, illegal immigrants are infiltrators.. I don’t think he will ever figure out why so many people don’t like him.. He just don’t get it. When he said Jews were welcome,, he forgot to say,,,Not Black Africa Jews

  18. Dave says:

Feinstein , Clinton , would condemn as racism any republican that said illegal immigrants are infiltrators.
But when Netanyahu does it.. They don’t say a damm thing

  19. Dave says:

Why is it always a mystery? Vince foster, Ron brown, 9/11, bin laden , seal team six, Fort Knox audit, fast and furious, dr.Ives(anthrax) , dc madam, and on and on and on. We are the enablers, we allow it to happen .
    Were like jerry Sandusky’s wife.

  20. Dave says:

That was one bad call,, the catcher tags the runner on the thigh .. That can only mean the runners foot was on the plate. Hard to have much faith in replay

  21. Dave says:

The Kurd issue is so interwoven and mingled there really is no one side or the other. There are many Kurds that are fiercely loyal to turkey.. Almost 3 million marriages between Turk and Kurd/Zaza. Turkey needs A national referendum to sort out their problems and come up with a plan everyone can live with.

  22. Dav says:

While the U.S. Park Police (a unit not equipped for a proper homicide investigation) studied the body, Foster’s office at the White House was being looted. Secret Service agent Henry O’ Neill watched as Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff, Margaret Williams, carried boxes of papers out of Vincent Foster’s office before the Park Police showed up to seal it. Amazing when you consider that the official identification of Vincent Foster’s body by Craig Livingstone did not take place until 10PM! —– I hate to tell you! but grandma is a killer. This poor man.

  23. Dave says:

On yahoo.. Black man in NY is strong armed robbed by uniformed police.. It’s recorded.. The cops release a statement blaming the man recording. There were about 5 other officers witnessing the event.. The higher ups that make these ludicrous statments should be fired and prosecute the robbers. The police won’t even say if the offender is still on the job.. All over our country, cops are acting as criminals. And are supported by dumb people that support the police regardless of the evidence.

  24. Dave says:

Vince foster makes interesting reading.. It’s a bitch trying to keep a story straight with so many witnesses.
Did you know over half of the deposed had to amend their depositions? And not just to change a comma.
Most changes were like —no, I didn’t see to yes I saw.
That’s a lot of changed stories.. The one fact that compelled me was the no exit wound.. The govt. claims he shot himself with a 38cal. I would bet the ranch that any load, heavy or light , a skull and grey matter is not going to stop a 38. at point blank range.

  25. Jeff Linder says:

Grimes wouldn’t answer if she voted for Obama. Tries to distance herself from Obama by claiming she was a Clinton delegate in 2008 while failing to note that she was an Obama delegate in 2012.

She also says she doesn’t agree with Obama wrt to coal but this is worth watching:

    http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/389631/grimes-staffers-caught-camera-admitting-shes-lying-about-support-coal-brendan-bordelon

“You know she has to say that,” said Juanita Rodriguez, a Warren County Democratic operative. “Because in Kentucky if you don’t support the coal industry, you are dead . . . It’s a lying game, unfortunately.”

“If we can get her elected, do you think she is going to do the right thing and she’s gonna try to wipe out that coal industry and go for better resources?” one of the reporters asked Fayette County Democratic Committee member Gina Bess.

“I absolutely think she is,” Bess replied.

“She’s trying to get votes, in that sense, from parts of Kentucky that that’s appealing to,” said field organizer Chase Sanders. “But once she gets in she’s going to be very realistic about the fact that there are environmental problems and she will do her part, you know, in a sense, to support those things.”
